Another painted rock - LARGE SPOTTED GENET
I decided I wanted to paint an entirely different animal than the usual suspects on this particular rock. I chose a cat-like animal, the large spotted genet or cape genet. This is a beautiful little animal and isn't often seen since it is nocturnal.

Here is a picture I took right at the start of my process. I use acrylic paints since these are the best for working on a stone surface.
And finally here is the genet posing with my dog Onyx, who doesn't seem particularly impressed. In the background you can see one of my other painted rocks - a pangolin.
