My Steem Story – By @wendyth16

MY STEEM STORY

Everyone has a story – and all our stories have something in common… we all started from nothing and knew nothing. People want to hear stories. They want to hear OUR stories — they want to know who we are, where we are from, what we are doing, who and what we love, what we have learnt and where we are going. People also want us to hear their story! Being a part of the Steem network is an individual journey for every single one of us and through this initiative we will share our stories not only with all who are already here – hopefully inspiring, guiding and informing them… but doing the same for everyone else in the world too. Through our stories we will prick the curiosity of those who have not yet arrived and illuminate and widen the already open doors to our one in a million blockchain.

Where my Steem Journey began

My adventure in Steem began more than a year ago, today is exactly on May 11, 2018 that I arrived at Steem. I discovered Steem after my friend

@betzaelcorvo insisted that I enter the platform, I thought that steemit was only for artists who knew about music, painting and poetry, things that are far from my skills and professional life. They were so curious that I began to go around myself that I began to read about Steemit I inquired and I saw that the community is so wide that it is not only music painting but it covers other areas. Since he and his friends were very excited and his cover theme was the post of steemit, motivate my sister

@daysiselena and then he likes me and his enthusiasm of them all They infected me and we boarded this wonderful journey.

From there, they kept me active despite the bad iternet of my country. My beginnings were hard because my first posts were in 00.1 after knowing more about the platform, I realized that through comments to users with voting power, rewards were also obtained and also through contests. Little by little and persist so much I was improving.

My initial challenges & how I overcame them

At the beginning it was quite difficult as I told you, I remember my first publication was my presentation was very well illustrated and structured with the codes and their labels well defined and consistent Between the rebate and the writing, it took me about four hours to complete the publication. I had 15 votes in favor and 0.42 rewards. I was a bit demoralized but I didn't get discouraged. I understood that the principles are hard. Then I read and read everything. I have inquired that if I commented before 30 minutes a post of high voting rewards were obtained, I commented many publications, I followed groups and communities and things have grown gradually. I have made myself known with many communities through the participation of competitions and my publications get rewards, and now I am happy to have built relationships and friendships, and to work for this network.

My Steem blockchain knowledge

I really didn't know anything about cryptocurrencies, I think the basics, when posting, I got votes and after 7 days I was going to get the money I had accumulated with those votes. I didn't even know what Bitcoin was, much less steem, so I read publications on that subject and learned that wallets come out and from there they manage token that have a value, then the steem engine came out and more and more I relate to these virtual currencies in their movements.

My golden nugget advice

My advice to anyone who enters steem is to know a little about this platform before posting the markdown codes, appropriate tags also interacting and commenting with people as much as possible. enter the discord since there are communities and valuable people who help.

Actively participate in community and group contests that share your same interests.

Sharing passion with others makes everything more extensive and the relationship is closer.

My Steem favourites

My blog focuses on photography, from which I try to focus on and behind the captured image the reasons that led them to take them. The photographs beyond immortalizing a moment in time, generate feelings in who took them and who observes them

I really enjoy participating in challenges such as # photo52 and #ccc, #whatisnew and #takeapic and #behindthephoto in which we must share pleasant moments and I have learned.

My Steem hood & its peeps

I started with the community of @cervantes that has supported me and gave me the opportunity to emerge and know many wonderful things.
Another is the #CCC community which actively participated in their competitions and we have established a beautiful friendship, they are always willing to help finally @ steemitbloggers (PowerHouseCreatives) in which I am starting.
Currently I have concentrated on writing for people like: @marblely, @wakeupkitty @ olivia08 @freedomshift @ photo52 @gertu who have great and fun contests, I invite you to visit their blogs and encourage them to do so.
