Skin Problems
My eyes lit up with excitement with the phone still hanging in my ear.
"We will be there" I replied sweetly
My best friend Emma, was eagerly waiting for me to get off the phone so she could hear what was happening.
"Michael got us an invite to the party!"I said screaming.
I mean it's a big deal getting invited to the party of the year in high school.
Emma shook her head not sharing in my excitement about the party.
"What's wrong?" I asked confused.
"Nothing." she replied, shrugging me off her shoulder.
I kept my gaze on her waiting for her to say something.
"Look at my face!." She retorted
"My Acne gets worse by the day and since you met Michael we have been going out a lot."
"It made me realize how insecure I was watching people stare at me like a disease." She added almost in tears
My tongue got stuck and my stomach turning in itself.
I haven't been paying attention and I felt like the worst best friend in that moment.
