Mandala Doodling

I drew this mandala recently on the Sketch app on my Android phone, while sitting in a cafe waiting for food to arrive;

I like how bold the white lines that outline the petals are in the inside of the circle, and it gave me the idea of drawing a mandala where the white petal outlines are connected from the center to the outside in a kind of woven knotwork, and then the usual petal detail is filled into the shapes created.

I've started drawing this one, by hand;

My previous knotwork attempts have been terribly wobbly so I'm happy that I've at least managed to make the lines look like they line up before and after a split XD

The next step is to fill in the details in each petal. I'll post the finished piece when that's done! :)
