Sunset Skitour! [DE/EN]

Servus miteinander!

Ich nutzte Ende März einen kleinen Wintereinbruch nochmals für eine kleine Skitour auf das Karleck den kleinen Nachbarn vom großen und durchaus bekannten Bosruck in der Region Phyrn-Priel. Eigentlich hatte ich die Saison bereits abgeschlossen, doch einige Zentimeter Neuschnee sorgten nochmals für brauchbare Bedingungen.

I took advantage of a small onset of winter again at the end of March for a small ski tour on the Karleck the small neighbor of the large and quite well-known Bosruck in the Phyrn-Priel region. Actually, I had already completed the season, but a few centimeters of fresh snow provided again for usable conditions.

Der Aufstieg ist relativ moderat und grundsätzlich auf für jeden Skitourengeher machbar. In gut 1,5 Stunden erreicht man den Gipfel des Karleck (1.582 hm), Ausgangspunkt ist die Bosruckhütte auf 1.036 Höhenmeter. Der Aufstieg beträgt daher rund 500 Höhenmeter, die ich gerade noch rechtzeitig in der Abenddämmerung absolvieren konnte. Am Gipfel angekommen, verschwand soeben die Sonne am Horizont und ich musste mich sputen, um noch rechtzeitig bei etwas Tageslicht wieder beim Auto anzukommen, denn die Stirnlampe hatte ich an diesem Tag leider nicht dabei.

The ascent is relatively moderate and basically doable for every ski tourer. In a good 1.5 hours you reach the summit of the Karleck (1,582 hm), starting point is the Bosruckhütte at 1,036 meters altitude. The ascent is therefore about 500 meters in altitude, which I was able to complete just in time at dusk. Arrived at the summit, the sun just disappeared on the horizon and I had to hurry to still arrive in time with some daylight back at the car, because the headlamp I unfortunately did not have that day.

Vom Gipfel des Karleck hat man einen wunderbaren Rundumblick die Berge der oberösterreichischen Phyrn-Priel Region sowie die Berggipfel auf der Seite der Steiermark. Wenn man so will ist das Karleck also ein Grenzberg zwischen den beiden genannten Bundesländern. Übrigens bin ich dann nach meiner Abfahrt doch noch rechtzeitig beim Auto angekommen. Kaum waren meine Sachen verstaut, so war es bereits richtig Dunkel geworden. Ich hatte an diesem Tag also schnelle Beine und vermutlich auch etwas Glück!

From the summit of the Karleck you have a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains of the Upper Austrian Phyrn-Priel region as well as the mountain peaks on the side of Styria. If you will, the Karleck is therefore a border mountain between the two aforementioned provinces. By the way, after my departure I still arrived at the car in time. Hardly my things were stowed, it had become already correctly dark. I had on this day so fast legs and probably also some luck!
