2nd December 2023.

Land 1.5 has officially launched, and it has changed the landscape of Splinterlands.

Prices of everything are increasing rapidly: SPS, DEC, card rentals, and card prices.

All boats rise together.

As a small fish in a big ocean, I have only 1x plot of land and figuring out what I want - and can do - with it.

Here is a poor man's strategy with land.

A Rare Bog

I am blessed with a Bog with a Rare rarity, which boosts production by 10%.

And Bogs favour water and death cards with 10% production as well.

Looking through my existing cards, I had only 3 cards which makes sense to add as workers, and I had to buy 2 more Pelacor Bandits to make up the number.

Building Grains

We have 3 options when we first start: constructing buildings for grains, SPS mining, or researching Secrets of Praetoria.

I figured out the grain building will be necessary in the future regardless of what happens, so here we go with it.

It's taking a long time to finish building though.

Hopefully working on land pans out in the future.
