The definition of democracy according to Abraham Lincoln: "is government of the people for the people and by the people". It's seems this such of representative government is only practiced in the western world, where there's strict separation of powers. Back to the African countries adopting the so called democracy. How do we instill that strict separation of powers, where the executive arms don't override others?

Again how can the political tycoons who diverted public funds be brought to the books after their stay in office? These guys are even powerful than the system itself. I long for that day where a junior office will handcuff a sitting governor or whoever despite his affluence for acting outside the books.
