Halloween 2021 with @wanderwithtwo 🎃 👻

Hello everyone 👋

It’s been a while! A bit of a late post on Halloween but better than never, right?

This year we’ve made some effort to celebrate Halloween 🎃 as we are building memories with our little one who also experienced his first Halloween.

We knew our neighbourhood are also celebrating Halloween and their kids are excited getting their costumes together to go trick or treating so we headed out to the shops to get ourselves ready too.

As our community is very cautious about COVID we have planned to package the lollies to leave in a bucket outside the house for the kids to take. Yes, no door knocking to keep everyone safe. It is definitely different from the traditional trick or treating.

We bought little bags to put the lollies in to be covid-safe. This was to avoid kids running their hands through the bucket to pick out what they wanted. We packed the same amount and similar lollies in each packets to be fair and made sure none of the treats had nuts in them in case someone had an allergy and decided to dig in while their parents weren’t around to watch them.

Our Halloween goodies were left on our mail box on the day. The community page we had mentioned that the kids would start making their rounds around 4pm in the afternoon. We sat around the window waiting for the kids to admire their costumes and later took a walk around to see everyone enjoy their afternoon. Definitely lots of sugar-high kids running about that day!

Our little one had a costume change through the day. He was a dragon followed by being Goku from the anime called Dragonball Z. Our furbaby did a matchy outfit with him as well. Too cute!

No trick or treating done by us this year as our little one is still too young to have sweets. Hopefully we can join in with the rest of the fun in the years to come!
