Hike to Potato Chip Rock
If your birthday falls on a Wednesday, which weekend is the official birthday weekend? Since I wasn't too thrilled about turning another year older I just claimed both. Michael had a surprise outing planned for the weekend after, and I decided a fun hike would be the perfect activity for the last weekend of my mid-twenties.
We hiked the Mt. Woodson trail to the famous summit known as Potato Chip Rock. The summit is appropriately named because there is a large rock that looks like a giant potato chip. It used to be a boulder but a huge chunk of it broke off, leaving behind a thin slab that juts out off the side of the mountain. The hike was moderately challenging and we were all pretty sore for a couple days, but it was a fun family adventure. Enjoy the photos!
