WRONG IMAGINATIONS

Good Morning beloved brethren

Today is Wednesday 6th April, 2022
I shall be considering a crucial topic called...
WRONG IMAGINATIONS

Text: “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinth 10:5

One major function of our minds is imaginations. The act of image formation within a man. This is so powerful because we can create an image of ourselves either positively or negatively. Imaginations are more or less the blueprint of our lives. Whatever takes over our imaginations will eventually take over our lives. Imagination is giving substance and possibility to something that was initially a thought or an idea.
This could become destructive when we allow negative imaginations to take root within us. An unchecked imagination is like a hen sitting on the eggs. It might look initially that the hen is wasting time. But day by day the chicks are being developed until the eggs cracks and the chicks comes out. The imaginations of today will eventually become an experience tomorrow.
Casting down imaginations means getting rid of wrong imaginations. An imagination is wrong when it opposes the eternal will of God in his word.

Examples of imaginations to be casted down.

  1. An imagination that paints you as a failure. This is against the knowledge of God. An event of life does not make you a failure. Each one of us was born with success already within us.

  2. An imagination that tells you that you are good for nothing. Such an imagination limits our capacity and our resolve to do great things in life. In Christ we are good for everything.

  3. An imagination that makes you see yourself as a worthless sinner. Once a man is in Christ the man is no longer a sinner. He is now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

PRAYER:
In the name of Jesus I pull down every imagination standing against the knowledge of God within me.
