Agbo lived in the town of Lagun which is not far from Ibadan. He went Buchu Primary School. He was in Primary four. Everybody liked Agbo because he was always happy and friendly.He was a lucky boy because his parents were rich. His father gave him a wrist watch and Agbo was very proud of it.
One day, Agbo woke up late. He looked at his watch, it was 7:30 a.m. Quickly, Agbo jumped up, picked up his soup and his towel and ran to the bathroom to wash himself. He put on his clean shirt and shorts, combed his hair and put on his shoes. It was a quarter to eight. His mother came into the bedroom. ''Your breakfast is ready, Agbo. You are very late today. Has your watch stopped?'
"No mother, but I woke up late, I don't want any breakfast now. I'll be very late and Mr. Alabi will be very angry with me."
"I'll take you to school in the car,' said his mother. "I don't want you to be late."
"Oh, thank you mother," said Agbo happily.
