This funny looking punk with Ski Goggles on reminds me of those GoDaddy commercials for Walton Goggins Goggle Glasses (GogginsGoggles.com). I decided to pick him up for the low price of only 20 HIVE, or about $0.95. That is a great deal to pick up discounted "floor" punks while the market remains suppressed.

I still firmly believe that someday in the future there will be another NFT revival and legacy projects like Hive Punks stand the best chance at a second life. When they first came out they were all the rage among Hive users, but with market prices being much higher this platform was much more attractive.

After being involved with Steem and Hive since 2017 I would say this type of crypto platform goes through large ebbs and flows for user growth and retention. The 2018-2020 market lull saw a huge drop off for activity on Steem but this quickly changed after the 2020 Hive fork and explosion of the Splinterlands blockchain game.

As price rises you will see more engagement and user growth as the reward system drives the outcome of more content. Low rewards = low content creation and vice versa. Ironically this is the best time to be on the platform to accumulate cheap tokens while the price is down - then take advantage of future price growth as your stash builds.

Curation rewards have been relatively steady, averaging around 5 HP per day plus the natural inflation from staked Hive. Combined with content rewards this is adding around 10 HP per day currently. I haven't powered up any new purchases since last month because I wanted to accumulate more cash in this uncertain market. There will be plenty of time to dollar cost average into crypto while we chop around for however many more months or years. Hive is all about getting rich slowly.
