Parasite on Earth

Yesterday Night,
another parasite

came down to me
and laid it's three
_heads
down on my knee.


I had to make sure to not let it linger,
when it wrapped itself around my finger

To not let it sap my energy
the life force
that belongs to me.

As cute as it appeared to be,
eyes can deceive,
especially three.

No matter how much I'd like a pet
I'd prefer one that gives too
and not just takes
instead of one that I'll regret
not unlike a 'friend' that's fake.

So in a glass jar it goes,
temporarily
where it can work
on its own energy.
