I've Got the Keys - The Start of a New Era

This is some sort of follow up to I've Got the Key..., where I talked about moving into the little city in rural Portugal, where I have been residing since February. It's fair to say that I have liked this picturesque town, since I first moved to this area, back in 2018.

Two days ago something happened that I have been dreaming of for ages, in fact, more than a decade ( since I seriously started film making around 2010 )

I got the keys to my own little studio!

And no, it won't be a film studio.

I haven't worked on a film project since the start of 2019.

The place is called SOL ( Portuguese ( and Spanish ) for sun ) and it's a shared creative space/ co-working space.

I managed to acquire a back room where I can think and create in silence and stare out of the window, every now and then ( as I'm not a smoker ).

About an hour ago, one of the guys who started this project, told me I could pick a chair from the shared space.

It is from this common room, where a couple of the creatives ( plan to ) work in plain sight - for the people on the street to witness them practicing their (handi)craft ).

Almost as if we're back in the old days.

I like it
but I don't think it really works for what I am doing. I need time and space to think, in silence.

But who knows, I might be giving some kind of workshop in that main area, some day or host a movie night.

As you can see, its quite a large space with high ceilings, so it can be used for multiple purposes. We also have a little kitchen area ( still waiting for running water ) and a place to do your number 1 and 2.

So far we've got people from 5 different countries and I seem to be getting along with all of them.

No idea, as of yet, what I'll be adding to the mix ( creatively ) but there's so much potential.

I am really looking forward to spending a lot of time in this place, it sure helps that it's literally at a stone's throw distance from my current home ( I can see it from my bedroom window, if I look at the right ).
