Lesson from the weekend: Don't leverage crypto!
Goldene Regel.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Habt ihr bereits mit Leverage investiert? Würdet ihr das machen oder eher lassen?

Trump defused the tariff dispute with China over the weekend, calming the stock markets, but in reality, I think it wasn't a single tweet that crashed the crypto markets, but rather that much more was happening in the background.
Some think it was deliberate manipulation, with individual whales building up large short positions and perhaps starting to push down the price.
The rest is a chain reaction, similar to pump and dump, only this time in the other direction.
Combined with market activity and negative news, more and more traders are starting to sell their positions. At a certain level, leverage traders are then in trouble. If the price falls (or rises) too sharply, leverage positions that fall below the equity threshold (margin) are automatically liquidated. The result: all the capital invested is lost. That's insane.
A cascade effect can even lead to a flash crash.
A Ukrainian crypto trader is said to have committed suicide over the weekend. Leverage traders report catastrophic losses.
The situation is less dramatic for hodlers though. Fluctuations of 10-20% are rather the rule than the exception in the less regulated crypto market.
The lesson from the weekend is: don't leverage crypto! It's just too risky. Even if you correctly assess the market in 80% of cases, crypto always does unpredictable things. Both downwards and upwards. With leverage products and derivatives, you can not only get rich quickly, but also lose your entire capital in a matter of seconds. That's intense. If at all, only speculate with capital that you can afford to lose. Golden rule.
What do you think? Have you already invested with leverage? Would you do it or rather not?
