How does a cashless festival work?

Wie funktioniert eigentlich ein cashless-Festival? Das Frequency Festival in Österreich ist cashless. Habe überlegt heute hinzugehen, aber das Wetter war leider nicht so gut (Regen, Gewitter).

Finde das cashless-System interessant, anstatt Bargeld zu verwenden, bekommt jeder ein Armband mit einem Wireless-Chip, den man vorher mit Beträgen von 50 bis 500 Euro aufladen kann.

Gezahlt wird dann wireless mit dem Armband. Nicht verwendete Beträge kann man wieder zurückfordern, allerdings wird eine Bearbeitungszeit für die Rücküberweisung von bis zu 2 Wochen angegeben 😂

Was sagt ihr dazu? Wart ihr schon mal bei einem cashless-Festival?

How does a cashless festival actually work? The Frequency Festival in Austria is cashless. I thought about going today, but unfortunately the weather wasn't so good (rain, thunderstorms).

I find the cashless system interesting, instead of using cash, everyone gets a wristband with a wireless chip that can be topped up beforehand with amounts from 50 to 500 euros.

Payment is then made wirelessly with the wristband. Unused amounts can be reclaimed, but a processing time of up to 2 weeks is specified for the return transfer 😂
