Mermay challenge - day 2

Per il secondo giorno ho scelto di andare sul semplice: un giovane tritone con la coda da cavalluccio marino.
Sono partita dalla bozza realizzata con la mina colorata verde, che trovo comoda da cancellare, e l'ho poi ripassata con una penna a china misura 0,05.

For the second day I choose to draw a simple thing: a young merman with a seahorse tail.
I started doing a sketch with a green mechanical pencil, 'cause it's easier to erase, and I did the lineart with a 0.05 ink pen.

Pronto da colorare. / Ready to color.

Il secondo passaggio è stato il colore. Con la china nera ho messo le ombre. Con quella seppia ho colorato la pelle e le parti più scure della coda. Infine ho passato l'ecoline gialla sulla coda e dato qualche passata sulla pelle del tritone. Et voila.

The second step was color. With black ink I put the shadows. With the sepia one I colored the skin and colored the darker parts of the tail. I then used the yellow ecoline all over the tail and added a bit over the skin. Et voila.
