The 3 Lakes (Part 2)
Can you see them? Yup, those are turtles alright. They seem to be Western-painted Turtles, which have been a species at risk in the Rocky Mountains in Canada. Scroll below for more photos!
So our story continues as we hike by the first and second lakes--Yankee and Canuck Lakes. Several lily pads and turtles were along the shore. The turtles here were not startled by us at all when we took pictures.
