¡Buenas tardes, amigos! Espero que estén pasando una excelente semana. Por mi parte, estoy contenta de pasar por acá a compartir una linda idea con ustedes. En esta ocasión les comparto el paso a paso para elaborar una linda cajita para el Día del Padre. Hace mucho que no les compartía o elaboraba alguna creación que tuviera que ver con un día, celebración o fecha específica, pues siempre hago creaciones para el día a día, bien cotidianas diría yo, jaja. Pero bueno, justo hace unos días una amiga me pidió una pequeña cajita temática para dar algunos dulces extras o un obsequio específico en ella para ese día.

This time, I'm sharing the step-by-step instructions for making a cute little box for Father's Day. It's been a while since I've shared or made anything related to a specific day, celebration, or date, as I usually make everyday things—pretty ordinary things, I'd say, haha. But anyway, just a few days ago, a friend asked me for a small themed box to hold some extra sweets or a special gift for Father's Day.

Cartulina blanca.

🌟 PROCEDIMIENTO | 🌟 PROCESS

✨PASO 1:

Lo primero que hice fue buscar el tamaño de caja correcto y, para las indicaciones que me dieron, quedaba perfecto en una cajita de bombillo. En este caso, yo utilicé una de 12 cm x 6 cm a la cual le retiré una de las paredes laterales y pegué muy bien la tapa para que quedara más firme. Seguido de esto, recorté una tira de tela que rodeara las paredes de la caja (en este caso, las medidas fueron de 37 cm x 6 cm) y para la base una medida de 12 cm x 6 cm, y pegué hasta forrar las paredes.

✨STEP 1:

The first thing I did was find the right size box, and according to the instructions, a light bulb box was perfect. In this case, I used one measuring 12 cm x 6 cm, from which I removed one of the side walls and glued the lid down securely for extra sturdiness. Next, I cut a strip of fabric to go around the sides of the box (in this case, the measurements were 37 cm x 6 cm) and a 12 cm x 6 cm piece for the base, and glued them down until the walls were covered.

✨PASO 2:

Ahora sí, vamos con la decoración. Para eso, lo primero es tomar una hoja blanca y dibujar los diseños que tengo en mente; pero como me pidieron algo sencillo y que tuviera que ver un poco con la mecánica, pues simplemente me centré en hacer a un hombre con bigote, o bueno, con las características que me dieron. Además, tenía pensada una caja de herramientas, pero me gustó más que fuera un bolsillo tipo overol. Al tener lista la idea, es momento de transferir a los colores correspondientes de foami, como explico a continuación:

✨Cabeza: 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm en foami crema.
✨Cabello: 3.5 cm x 1.4 cm en foami negro.
✨Bigote: 1.3 cm x 0.5 cm en foami negro.
✨Herramientas: 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm, 1.5 cm x 1 cm y 2.3 cm x 0.7 cm en foami escarchado plateado.
✨Mango: 2 cm x 0.5 cm y 2 cm x 0.6 cm en foami amarillo.
✨Bolsillo: 4 cm x 2.5 cm en foami azul.

✨STEP 2:

Now, let's get to the decoration. The first step is to take a blank sheet of paper and sketch the designs I had in mind; but since they asked for something simple and somewhat related to mechanics, I just focused on drawing a man with a mustache, or rather, with the characteristics they gave me. I had also planned on a toolbox, but I liked the idea of it being a pocket-style overall better. Once you have your idea ready, it's time to transfer it to the corresponding colors of foam, as explained below:

✨Head: 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm in cream foam.
✨Hair: 3.5 cm x 1.4 cm in black foam.
✨Mustache: 1.3 cm x 0.5 cm in black foam.
✨Tools: 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm, 1.5 cm x 1 cm, and 2.3 cm x 0.7 cm in silver glitter foam.
✨Handle: 2 cm x 0.5 cm and 2 cm x 0.6 cm in yellow foam.
✨Pocket: 4 cm x 2.5 cm in blue foam.

✨PASO 3:

Al estar todo recortado y listo, es momento de dar color a los bordes, como siempre, con pinturas o marcadores que hagan contraste o combinen con el color del foami. En este caso, di un color marrón a la cabeza, al bolsillo un color azul más oscuro y al mango de las herramientas un color naranja.

✨STEP 3:

Once everything is cut out and ready, it's time to color the edges, as always, with paints or markers that contrast with or complement the foam color. In this case, I colored the head brown, the pocket a darker blue, and the tool handles orange.

✨PASO 4:

Al estar secas las piezas, es momento de dibujar detalles específicos con marcadores, como lo serían los ojos, cejas, boca, orejas; definir mejor el cabello, el bolsillo y detalles a las herramientas. Al estar listas, las pegué hasta formar las decoraciones.

✨STEP 4:

Once the pieces were dry, it was time to draw specific details with markers, such as the eyes, eyebrows, mouth, and ears; further define the hair, the pocket, and add details to the tools. When they were ready, I glued them together to create the decorations.

✨PASO 5:

Luego, las pegué en la pared que escogí para el frente de la caja. Seguido de esto, es momento de tomar la cartulina blanca y recortar una pieza de 11.6 cm x 10 cm, en la cual escribí en la parte superior “Feliz Día” con marcador negro y di algunos detalles extras con marcador azul y, por último, la pegué en la pared trasera de la caja, pero por la parte interna.

✨STEP 5:

Then, I glued them to the wall I had chosen for the front of the box. After that, I took the white cardstock and cut out a piece measuring 11.6 cm x 10 cm. I wrote "Happy Day" at the top with a black marker and added some extra details with a blue marker. Finally, I glued it to the back wall of the box, on the inside.

✨Así es como pueden elaborar una sencilla idea para colocar algún detallito el Día del Padre. También pueden hacerle a la caja una decoración para que parezca una caja de herramientas o alguna temática de oficina; es totalmente al gusto. Espero que les haya gustado y se animen a elaborarlo.
