My First Pokemon Post
There is the collection.
I have gone through ridiculous measures to stockpile these cards, most of which are still sealed in the plastic (or at least the booster pack)
I'll start the reader off with a story, one that I'm sure most anyone reading this from America around my age (almost 30) can relate to, or at the very least understand.
The Story behind the collection is that when I was about 10 years old I had a giant collection of cards, and I cherished them. One day after moving to another state, my mother tells me that I need to find something I wanna sell because we're having a yard sale. So I spent the whole week with my nose inside the Beckett Trading Cards magazine, to look up eeeeevvvvveeeerrrrryyy single card I had. One. By. One. By. One.

So after this grueling task, I finally have answers. I come back to my mom, and inform her that even if we don't get market value for the cards, if we just bulk sold the majority of them for 25 cents each, and got market value for the rare holos, we should have ended up with a little over
$1400 dolllars
but what did my mom do???

She took the entire collection and when it came time for the yard sale, instead of waking me up to let me help and include me, she left me asleep and sold the ENTIRE BOX for
$14!!!
These cards in this picture above are worth more than that!
So I started collecting them again as an adult around the 25th anniversary..
I figured if the ones I lost are worth so much more now, then if they're still here in another 25 years for the 50th celebration these will DEFINITELY be worth something :) I'm not relying on it, but it would be great to put my daughter through college! lol! how much #fun
