Before the first whistle blows for the Sixteenth Finals (Round of 32) tonight, we need to address a quick system detail in Kicktipp and—more importantly—let you decide how we want to play the rest of the tournament!

📊 Leaderboard Update: Who is Cooking?

The battle at the top of our community leaderboard is getting tighter by the minute. Currently @Siggisan (where is your Hive account only?) is leading ahead of our lovely @gen-quimba - both over 200 points already, many more with good chances - myself not even top 25 damn.

But don't get comfortable just yet—with the knockout bonuses about to kick in, a single perfect prediction can skyrocket anyone up the ranks. It's still anyone's game!

🔍 The "0.00 Odds" Confusion Explained

Some of you noticed that in the Prediction Centre, the betting odds for a draw (X) are showing as 0.00, making it look like you can't predict a tie.

Don't worry, this is just a display quirk in Kicktipp's automated odds feed! Because these are knockout matches, the system pulls the real-world odds for "Who will advance" rather than the match score.

Right now, our community is officially set to "after 90 minutes", which means YES, you can fully predict draws (like 1-1 or 2-2) and they will count if that's the score when regular time ends.

🗳️ COMMUNITY VOTE: Choose Our Knockout Mode!

Since we are just starting the Round of 32, we have the perfect opportunity to decide as a community how we want Kicktipp to calculate our points for the rest of the World Cup.

As the admin, I can adjust this instantly. We have three official options on the table:

• ⏱️ Option 1: after 90 minutes (Current Setting)
• How it works: Only regular time + injury time counts. Draws are fully allowed. If a match ends 1-1 and goes to extra time, 1-1 is the winning score for our pool, no matter who wins the game later.

• 🏃‍♂️ Option 2: after extra time
• How it works: The score after 120 minutes counts. If it's still a tie after extra time, that tie is the winning score. The penalty shootout is completely ignored for our points.

• ⚽ Option 3: after penalties
• How it works: The final, definitive result when the stadium lights go out counts. No draws allowed. Shootout goals are added to the score, meaning if you expect penalties, you must predict high scores like 5-4 or 6-5.

Drop a comment below with your choice (Option 1, 2, or 3) before the first match kicks off! I will go with whatever the majority prefers. If the comments are quiet, we will stick to the current default (Option 1 - after 90 minutes). But hurry - I need to decide in some hours before the first knockout match starts at 9pm CET.
