When days are dark and skies are grey
When all plans have gone astray
Give me the strength dear Lord to say,
Thy will be done.
When troubles come in swift array
When in my grief I turn away
Let me be still and learn to pray
Thy will be done.
Thou knowest Lord, how oft I stray
How sinful I disobey
When in my heart I long to say
Thy will be done.
Teach me dear Lord to tread the way
Above which day by day
I wish and will learn to say
Thy will be done.
