Compassion without Awareness

Compassion that lacks awareness and understanding, is supposedly loving actions that ultimately fail to employ forethought, intellectual standards, self-reflection, and lack a basic self-awareness of one’s tendency to rationalize away evidence in support of their presupposed biases and emotional attachments; often with the intent to be seen as a good person. Such love and compassion is at its core ignorant, and more often than not leads to negative short and long term consequences; this form of compassion is anything but moral, for it merely grants an illusion of morality to the 'do-gooder', without any of its inner substance. Compassionate actions should be the very last step in any important decision making process, and only after the individual has gained enough knowledge and understanding of the situation, and have worked through any possible contradictions, which can take hours, days, months, to even years to fully grasp and understand. As a rule of thumb, a person should only act upon important decisions after they’ve fully discovered the truth of the matter, so that they can make a wise decision—otherwise they are fools who participate in folly.

Knowledge + Understanding — Contradictions = Wisdom (Truth)
Lack of and/or concealed Knowledge — Understanding + Contradictions = Folly (Lies)
