Hello hivers, gamers, guests. I am glad you dropped by today. This is a response to the Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge. The featured ruleset for this week is Briar Patch (All monsters receive the thorns ability at the start of the battle. Enemy monster that uses melee attack receives a damage back). We are now playing with limited energy and I’m glad I won my battle with this result. I am gonna show this to you in this blog.

My Strategy

The technique to winning Briar Patch is to avoid using Melee Attack monsters and to use ranged and magic attacks more as your damage. I will demonstrate it below, this was taken from one of my battles.

In this battle I used Malric Inferno as summoner. His ability did not contribute in this battle but my daily focus is fire. It gives me an additional bonus using fire splinters.

Position #1: Tusk The Wide Though he is a Melee monster but his 12 Hit points could help tank damages from the team.

Position #2: Scorch Fiend I have maxed my mana capped good thing this monster is a 0 mana monster good enough as party feelers.

Position #3: Iidri Fyre This monster has 8 Hit points with 2 shields good enough as an additional tank. This card is not available on the market yet but if you're lucky you might get one on your daily quest.

Position #4: Elemental Phoenix This Monster has 2 Magic Attacks with 8 Hit Points. Decent damage with good Hit points.

Position #5: Naga Fire Wizard This Monster has 3 Magic Attacks with 6 Hit Points. A great damage to the team.

Position #6: Blood Maker This monster has 3 Ranged Attack 4 speed and 3 Hit Points. Damage contributor to the team.

Recommendations

• Manage your mana cap having a balanced team will give you an advantage with your battle
• Remember during a Briar Patch rule set it is not good to use so much of your melee mosnters
