When did you begin to see attitudes towards women changing in your life, what do you think prompted those changes? Please give some examples.
Hello my fellow members of the Ladies of Hive Community welcome to the New Month of August.In the past women were not allowed to attain certain level of education due to the parents mentality, but when those parents who for see the future of girl child education and pursued it and started reaping the benefits, the low mentality set of parents then had to follow suit.
For example my mother in her own time was denied primary education by her uncle's wife and so based on that experience, she did not allow us her children to have the same experience she had . But later on she enrolled in adult education and stopped at primary level.
In this modern time you now have the men getting married to educated women who will also be contributing to the upkeep of the house. But in terms of career the women are dealing with the gender inequality, they have proved that what a man can do that a woman can do it better.
Women are found in different professions as lawyers , doctors pharmacists, even in the engineering sector,in GHANA for instance women are seen driving long buses . Lol I was able to get the kids educated while I was in the civil service or white collar job ,as the breadwinner was no more.
