genelde bulmacalarda karşılaşılan sahip, iye anlamlarına gelen türkçe sözcüktür.
günümüzde bu biçimde kullanımı yok denecek kadar azdır (bulmaca harici denk gelinmemiştir).
çok sık kullanılan olumsuz anlamlısı da vardır; yalnız, kimsesi olmayan, tenha, kimsenin olmadığı anlamlarında ıssız sözü yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. -sız eki yokluk belirten ekimizdir malum.
