Cuando dibujamos a veces tenemos ideas tras ideas y en el proceso muchas son descartadas. Este es un dibujo de una pequeña serie de ilustraciones que nunca seguí.
When we draw, we sometimes have idea after idea, and in the process, many are discarded. This is one of a small series of illustrations I never followed up on.
Se trataba de personajes con inseguridades fisios las cuales se supone que eran muñecas como de porcelana y dependiendo la parte que odiaran de ellas mismas las rompían y cubrían con listones rosados.
They were characters with physical insecurities who were supposed to be porcelain dolls, and depending on the part of themselves they hated, they would break them and cover them with pink ribbons.
Antes era una persona muy insegura con mi imagen a un nivel que me afectaba mucho y de ahí surgió esta idea. Pensaba hacer algunas ilustraciones de los personajes y pequeñas viñetas. Sin embargo hoy día ya no soy esa persona insegura y ya no me veo reflejada en ese sentimiento que me impulsaba a dibujarlas pero creo que pueden llegar a ser personajes interesante.
I used to be a very insecure person about my image, to a degree that affected me greatly, and that's where this idea came from. I was thinking of doing some character illustrations and short vignettes. However, today I'm no longer that insecure person, and I no longer see myself reflected in that feeling that drove me to draw them. I think they could become interesting characters.
