Part 1 - Grammar
Grammar is where things start. Grammar in the trivium method or classical trivium model refers to general grammar. This is the basis and foundation for our communication. This is how we input higher level information through word symbols.
Another way to represent this is the following:
Grammar – Input – Knowledge - Ontology/Metaphysics
The basics of the knowledge we can consume usually deal with the who, what, where and when. The most basic layer of which constitutes things in existence that can be readily observed. It can also constitute not only things happening outside of us, but things happening inside of us.
Grammar is like an art because it is creative in the sense that we are inventing and combining symbols. Grammar is the medium that we use for communication. Phonetics is how we combine sounds. Spelling is how we combine letters. Those letters combined to form words. And grammar is the combination of those words to produce greater meaning.
Each language differs and how they represent words, with different letters in different phonetics. They have their own norms to ensure that a common understanding is established for correct communication. Definitions of words are developed so that people can understand what is being referred to with a certain word or symbol.
Something is perceived, either real or imagined, and is given the name through word symbol that communicates about it.
