trimtab
is R. B. Fuller's epitaph. he refers to a small flap on a control surface.
it provides a slight nudge that prompts a larger movement, resulting in a change in a vessel's direction as it moves in a fluid medium.
just a slight nudge, subtle encouragement in the spirit of anticipatory design science.
never considered himself a noun but a verb, a small lever.
