DNS
Hey folks, today we want to take a look at DNS, what it is and how does it work. DNS is a domain naming system that assigns an IP address to a name. PC's don't really understand websites therefore DNS is used to translate the name into numbers.
To remember this better, I was taught with an analogy of thinking off DNS being like a phone book, just as a phone book puts a name to a number, DNS puts a number to a name.
DNS is much bigger than this in the IT world however to understand this, this post sums it up as a basis for you to build on.
