Performance

Performance was a little all over this place this season. I'm not sure exactly what was going on with Xbot, but it was fleeing battles and using underleveled cards a lot more often. I remember when it was consistently winning roughly 90% of my battles and that seems to have dropped a bit. It's still performing noticeably better than Archmage though.

Summary

Tournaments have been losing their appeal to me for quite a while. I've noticed a lot of the usual people have disappeared and are being replaced by people using multi-accounts. It's frustrating looking at the top 25 in each tournament and then finding out it's really only about 10 different people. At least I still managed to earn a decent amount of SPS.

I've got so many of the old reward cards, it's sickening, but I wouldn't mind if the last batch they released were still around. I wasn't able to get all the GF copies I would've liked but I guess that's just how it's going to be.

I'm still not happy about Soul Bound rewards and I think a lot of people are missing a few glaring issues with them. I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but the card advantage coming our way from Diamond/Champ players smurfing Bronze/Silver is going to be very real.

The other major problem is supply. Everyone likes to talk about how the old Rewards had an extremely inflated supply, but these soul bound ones are going to be even worse. They've increased the drop rates across the board and now instead of 1 card per chest, you can earn multiples. Once these cards are able to be unlocked, we're likely to see the fastest market dump we've seen yet. All they've done is delay it for 1-2 years, but it's still going to be a problem.

Ranked Rewards are down a bit but that's likely do to Xbot doing some weird things this season.

As much as it sounds like I'm disappointed with what the game has become (you'd be right to assume. I am) this was probably one of my best seasons for rewards due to the 7 packs. Unfortunately, those 7 packs were some of the worst possible packs you could imagine. Oh well. Here's hoping next season is better.
