Table of joy
I think the question of arranging your home is an eternal topic. I still don't understand how I want to see it. In addition, the issue of restoring order and getting rid of unnecessary things is still relevant despite all my efforts.
But today I want to share one idea with you. It arose when I was watching another video on the topic of arranging the surrounding space. The author said that the house must have a so-called "clean surface". This is the kind of surface on which things that need to be returned from the owner are put. For example, you have been borrowed something and now you don't need it and you have to return it.
Listening to this, I thought about this. We often get happy when we buy something. But often this joy doesn't last long. We choose an item, place an order, receive our parcel at the post office, bring it home, unpack it, rejoice and put the new item in the place intended for it. And that's it. We often forget about it after half an hour. Anyway, that's how it works for me.
And then I decided to make a "table of joy". I took a small table that I didn't need and put it in a place where I can see it all the time. I tried to decorate it to create a mood. And now, when a new thing "comes" to my house, it "lives" not a ring of days on this table. I see it and it prolongs my joy.
In fact, it's pure chemistry. Just a constant reminder of the desired purchase makes hormones work again and again. By the way, this is a great means of saving, because this way a new purchase "works" longer ๐
