What is Topcomment?

Topcomment is a curation initiative that rewards high quality comments across Hive. Every day our curators look for comments that add value to conversations.
By rewarding meaningful engagement we hope to encourage more people to participate and make Hive a more active and welcoming place.

Why we need new curators

At the moment our curation account has around 34,000 HP available for voting. This consists of our own modest stake of about 2,000 HP and a generous delegation of around 32,000 HP.

Our team currently has four curators. Three of them live in Cuba.
Many of you have probably read about the difficult situation there. Frequent power outages and unstable internet connections make it hard for them to curate consistently. Of course, real life always comes first and they have much bigger concerns than Hive.

Because of this, we are looking to expand our team with one or more new curators. This will help us continue rewarding great comments every single day.

Are you the person we are looking for?

You don't need to be an expert, but we are looking for someone who:

• wants to see engagement on Hive improve
• can spend a little time curating on most days
• has been active on Hive for some time
• preferably has curation experience
• has a Discord account, since that is where we coordinate our work
• speaks English (additional languages are a bonus)
• preferably from continents Africa/Europe/Asia/Oceania (to have curators in multiple timezones).

As a curator you will receive 10% of the curation rewards generated by the comments you vote on.

More importantly, you will help strengthen engagement across Hive and support people who take the time to leave meaningful comments.
