So a nun walks into a store and yells, 'A bottle of rum!' The shopkeeper hands it to her, but he can't help asking, 'I thought nuns weren't supposed to drink alcohol.' And she replies, 'You see, it's for the mother superior—she can't sleep and this helps her.' So the shopkeeper agrees, and when he finishes work, he goes home and sees the nun drunk on a bench. She angrily says to him, 'But you told me it was for the mother superior!' And she replies, 'Well, yeah, she’ll faint when she sees me!'

Přijde tak jeptiška do obchodu a zařve: „Láhev rumu!“ Prodavač jí to tak dává, ale nedá mu to a zeptá se: „Já myslel, že jeptišky pít alkohol nesmí.“ A ona mu odpoví: „Víte, to je pro matku představenou, ona nemůže usnout a tohle jí pomáhá.“ Tak prodavač souhlasí, a když mu skončí práce, tak jde domů a vidí tu jeptišku, která je opilá na lavičce a naštvaně jí říká: „Vždyť jste mi říkala, že to je pro matku představenou!“ A ona mu odpoví: „No vždyť jo, ta omdlí, až mě uvidí!
