From the ashes

Hi hive,

Trying to get into writing again, thought I’d try a little blast on the iPad, thinking aloud more so.

I find that one just needs to write and see what comes out, after such a long break it’s difficult to just jump back in. However, you must start somewhere, I regret leaving it so long again.

This I do as I’m trying to fill my days with writing songs and painting, being creative is such a pleasure and a gift to be able to do so all day everyday, forget why I’m able to do so and enjoy the fact I can.

I’m hoping this short poem will turn out ok, we will see.

From the ashes

Where once there was silence
Now there is noise
Now there is choice
A proof that life
Cannot be extinguished
From the earth without a fight

A spark that ignited
The sleeping flame
Burning for warmth
And to dry out the rain
The sky once dark
Now shone bright again
A beacon of hope
For all those who are still to find
Their way from the valley
Beaten by fear and by shame.
