Finally Settling into Our New Home

After utilizing our well-honed Tetris skills to get our final load on the trailer and ratcheted down, we made our way back to the new house and began unpacking in earnest.

It seems crazy that it had taken us nearly an entire week to fully unpack all of our boxes and set up each room. We still have pictures to put up, and some more organizing to complete. But I am glad we are finally done with the heavy lifting and can relax a little this weekend.

The living room and kitchen kept going through cycles of being cleaned and then getting stacked full of boxes again, but I am happy with how they turned out.

We even got our code for the pool and managed to swim some last night. I went again today with my niece, whom I am watching through the first week of August. Hopefully I can get back to some regular blogging about how I am preparing for my new classroom and some crafts I hope to complete in the upcoming weeks.
