Lion eats Elephant head, maggots and all!
This was one of those safaris near Kruger park I did years ago where we had to separate the Elephants head from the body and put it at a secret location so poachers didn't take the tusks.
Non of us rangers new where the Lions head was until this older male Lion which had been kicked out of his pride began to scavenge and he found it for us!
The old Lion wasn't bothered about the maggots or dried meat.
This was quite a sight to behold on our safari!
