Friday Morning Run-Actifit Report

Friday morning I went out for a run a little past 6am, it was still dark out. Reviewing my run, I got the below stats from the Apple Fitness App and Strava. One of the great things about running is seeing improvements and setting goals.

A few things I found interesting. My pace increased from my last run from 8 minutes per km to 7:04/km. My goal is to get to 6 minutes/km and be able to run 5k in half an hour.

My brother, who inspired me to start running, called this morning and we were talking about form and strides per minute. My average cadence stat for the run is 154 strides per minute. This is on the low end. So I can work on shortening my stride, which will quicken my rate and help me run faster and better.

Lastly, I was happy to see my heart rate primarily in or close to the zone 2 area. My goal is to get at least 150 minutes per week of Zone 2 cardio. I exercised 5 out of the last 6 days so pretty sure I'll hit this goal by Saturday.

In addition to the run, I got steps in doing some housework and watering the garden. I clocked 13,098 steps at the time of writing. A good active week is coming to a close, hope everyone has a great Friday. Thanks for keeping me motivated.
