Don't you love this kid's answer! :D

Yet he got half mark deducted and the teacher remarks "Please! Next time assume the books are identical in size! Don't do this in future exams!!!"

So many exclamation marks to stop a child from being imaginative and resourceful. We know this child is a real problem solver who can think outside the box (pun intended.) We can only hope that his ingenuity won't be stifled by our rigid educational system. :(

This paper is from a primary school in Singapore. Of course, let's NOT assume that all schools in Singapore are identical. :)

题目：一个书橱有70本书，Tiffany把7本书装到一个箱子里。她需要多少个箱子来装5个书橱的书？

学生的答案：
70 ÷ 7 = 10 (每个书橱需要10个箱子）
10 x 5 = 50
但是有些书会比较肥一点，大一点，所以我觉得多一些箱子会更好。
50 + 3 = 53
她需要53个箱子来装所有的书。

这个小孩的答案真是绝！

可惜老师扣了他半分。还写道：“拜托！下次就假设所有的书都是同样尺寸！以后考试不要再这样做了！！！”

用了这么多的感叹号来阻止孩子的想象力和足智多谋。我们当然知道这孩子有非常强的创造性思考能力，希望他的聪明才智不会被这古板的教育制度扼杀。

这是一份来自新加坡小学的考试试题。当然，我们不能假设所有新加坡的小学都是一样。
