Crafting a Micro Crochet Flower Bouquet for my Beautiful Mum

I dedicated this little project today to my beautiful mum, who's currently in the hospital. I thought it would be a lovely little present for her, as she also likes crochet, and I learned it from her.

Initially, I did not know what to make, so I just made everything up; there is no pattern, but I will show you how.

I planned to do a micro crochet in a ring. A few weeks ago, I bought a set at Amazon that is much smaller than my previous one.

I decided to try a flower bouquet, making it mostly crochet rather than knots.

I use the smallest crochet needle in my set, .60 mm. and sewing threads by Gutterman.

I started with chains using sewing thread, measuring the diameter of the ring,

And securing them on the rim.

I put glue on the knots for extra security.

Then, I micro-crocheted the ring with cream thread. This helps secure the stems in their places.

I micro-crocheted in between the chains, ensuring it was tight and secure.

Once secured, cut the excess threads.

All items are secured and ready for the next step.

I temporarily tied the stems, and I added Flowers. It took me a while to decide how to do it, but I did some embroidery.

I inserted the needle from behind.

I entwined the yarn in the needle, inserted it back at the same spot, and pulled gently to create the flower.

For the ribbon. I twined blue sewing thread to firm and thickened it up; I made three lengths and braided them.

I tied and made a ribbon.

I put a little glue on the knots so it won't get undone.

I was thrilled with the result, so I made it into a hair accessory.

I attached it to an old hair clip.

Then, I crocheted a cover for an old jewelry box.

I placed the Flower bouquet hair accessory in it so it would not get ruined when sent to the other side of the world.
