An inspiring experience with Versengold and the start of the Season
Dearest Troublemakers,
Today marks the beginning of a very busy season. We’re heading into our first tours with music from Echoes of Eldbriaris, and there is a lot we’re excited to share with you in the coming weeks.
But before we charge forward, we wanted to take a moment to look back at the past two weeks… our time on the road with Versengold.
What an experience.
Those arena shows were, quite simply, the biggest indoor stages we’ve ever stepped onto. Standing there, looking out over thousands of people, we felt both the weight and the opportunity of the moment. And as always, we learned a lot.
We brought some new repertoire with us… and also an incredibly important member of the team: Craig.
Craig comes from Cornwall and has been the in-house engineer at the Minack Theatre in recent years. We first met him in St Ives a few years ago, where he connected deeply with our sound. Since then, he’s been wanting to work together — and when we realized we needed someone we could trust to carry our sound into 4000+ capacity arenas, his name came up immediately.
Looking back now, we honestly can’t imagine doing it without him.
He was calm where things could have been chaotic, precise where it mattered most, and above all, he understood what we are trying to create. He became not just an engineer, but a vital part of the sound itself.
The shows?
They flew by.
25–30 minutes each night feels like a flash when you’re on a stage like that, but the response was incredibly positive. The crowds were engaged, open, and ready to receive what we brought. And perhaps most importantly, we connected deeply with Versengold and their entire team.
There is a generosity and professionalism in their camp that left a real impression on us. We learned a great deal simply by being around them, and it feels very clear to us that this is just the beginning of a long friendship — one that will almost certainly lead to future collaborations.
And now…
We set sail again.
With new music in our hands, new stories beginning to unfold, and a renewed sense of confidence and momentum. There’s a quiet feeling among us that something important is starting to take shape.
We’re ready for what lies ahead.
And as always, we’re grateful to have you with us on this journey.
With love and trouble melodies,
The Trouble Notes 🎻
