Splinter Royale Logs #1 - Waiting
- 1 -
In a distant land where the sky wept tears of fire and the earth hummed ancient lullabies,
a game was played.
Not a mere diversion, but a contest that could unravel the very fabric of reality. Here, the players were as enigmatic as the rules, their faces hidden behind veils of light and shadow.
They moved cards on a board that was not just a a board, each position a shifting tapestry of possibilities, each card different than the rest. The game was older than the oldest song, and its stakes were whispered only in the language of the elements.
As the cards clashed and converged, the air grew thick with the scent of impending battle. A single move, executed with the grace of a master and the audacity of a fool, tipped the scales.
The board quivered, as if recognising its own insignificance in the grand tapestry of existence. And then, in a moment that was not a moment, the game ended—or perhaps it began anew.
For in that distant land, where time is a circle and destiny a tangled knot, the game is never truly over. It waits, patient as stone and restless as fire, for the next hand to disturb its eternal equilibrium.
