Music - Friday piffle

Long time no post.... but snapped this pic this morning (yes, here in Africa we surround ourselves with razor wire, security camera's etc.) .... and it got me thinking about the juxtaposition of the bird.... and the razor wire.

The razor wire used to keep people out.... or IN, as in prison and the 'free as a bird' idea

A countryman of mine ....clearly inspired by Bob Marley in my opinion.

Seagull, you fly across the horizon
Into the misty morning sun.
Nobody asks you where you are going,
Nobody knows where you're from.

Here is a man asking the question
Is this really the end of the world?
Seagull, you must have known for a long time
The shape of things to come.
Now you fly, through the sky, never asking why,
And you fly all around 'til somebody, Shoots you down.

I refrained from including Leonard Cohen's (R.I.P. legend) Bird on the Wire as I have done that one on more than one occasion.

How about one more tune for the weekend ..... {scratches head...thinks...ouch, instant headache} ...
