DEPENDENCE - 5 minutes free write

Becoming a first-time mom has left me in awe. I’m overwhelmed with peace, joy, deep emotions, confusion, and yes—at times, the burden that comes with caring for my little one. Most times, they cry for reasons you can’t quite interpret—because they can’t yet speak.

But I began to truly enjoy the journey when I realized what this

stage is called: Dependence.

My baby, Baruch, depends on me for everything. I saw it clearly for the first time. He can’t sleep without me. When he wakes up, he needs me. When he wants to pee—yes, even then—he needs me. When he cries, he needs me to respond. Funny, right? But it’s true. He needs me to comfort him when he’s scared, to be present when he’s unsettled.

Infants and toddlers need their parents or caregivers to survive. They need to know that we are all they have—and they depend on that.

And that got me thinking—as adults, who do we depend on?

Now, I’m learning to depend on my truth.
I am depending on my ability to be sincere—with myself and with humanity.
I’m leaning into my dreams, desires, and aspirations for greatness.
I am choosing to pursue them wholeheartedly, understanding the power of truth, intention, and the laws that govern life.
