Garden Expansion Part 1: Episode 1 of my new vlog

I'm finally back Steemit! I've been super busy on the homestead and I'm excited to show you all some of what I've been up to.

Expanding into the Forest

I've been working hard at clearing a 40 x 60 garden plot that was primarily occupied by large pine trees. Throughout the years we've used this area as "dump" for all of the brush, logs, and saplings we've cut to open up our front yard. Along with all of this littered throughout the area, there were large stumps and large pine trees that needed to be cut and cleared. This, along with all my other additions and projects, has been the most ambitious endeavor we've taken on since we began homesteading. In this first part of the series, I'll walk you through how we cleaned and cleared the area with just our muscle, blood, sweat, and tears, an axe and a chainsaw.
