Colorchallenge Thursday Yellow - Spitfire in a storm

Steemit i thought today I would introduce you to me little yellow car

Its a 1977 Triumph spitfire, and is a whole lot of fun to drive! Its not to everyones taste and some would say its more of a hassle than its worth but I love it!!

Key features / British design flaws:

• Very light and rear wheel driven! This means its great fun on roundabouts, but as soon as its wet it becomes a death trap!!! As the backend is so light, as soon as you put your foot down it just spins out :o. Many Spitfire owners put bags of concrete or paving slabs in the back to stop this!
• The windows and roof don’t really match up — you get wet and the car fills with water!!! Don’t worry though as I have drilled a hole in the passenger seat well for drainage 😉
• No mod cons - yep still rocking a cassette player (you may have to google that one 😉 )
• No power steering - This just means you don’t have to go to the gym!!
• Its got a choke! - He’s a little bit before fuel injected cars, so you have to manually control the fuel to air ratio! this is a bit of a pain when its cold
• Runs on leaded petrol 😮 — no worries you just look like a bit of a tool mixing it up at the petrol station.
• Ooo and he is also a geocaching trackable 😉 so if you spot him out and about go and grab the tracking code!
