Freewrite Prompt: Ducks
Along a little stream, there is a little pond. A pond visited by little children and the elderly alike. They are drawn there by the little duck families that swim and waddle around for all the world to see.
Little ducks, big ducks, families and lonely ducks, all looking for a hand out of food and love and maybe a little bit of attention. These beautiful, and sweet animals that bring comfort to many on a lonely afternoon.
At this little pond, there is a bench. A general meeting spot if you will. Where the old, the young, the strong, the weak can meet and talk and generally get to know each other as they rip their bread and throw the crumbs to these waddling little creatures.
All of these people, all of these creatures, all seeking one basic thing, yet finding another. A community of comfort, of safety, in a world not always so considerate of each other.
