Decentralize your data with Datum.
Datum is a great new blockchain innovation that allows individuals to truly control the data they share with companies. Companies also no longer have to search for a way to secure client data that requires time and money when they can simply use Datum to take care of all their data storage needs with complete infallible security.
You can store unlimited amounts of data on a decentralized data store, while still having on-chain guarantees like proof of storage and proof of access. It's more or less a decentralized alternative to cloud computing. Datum provides a storage layer and optionally access to a data marketplace allowing data to be monetized without sacrificing security or privacy. It consists of three layers, a storage layer, a blockchain layer and a data marketplace layer on top of one another.
Here is a handy infographic from their website to understand it better:
Datum seems like a really useful tool for a wide variety of businesses. I think it could really take off if given a chance. The Datum Blockchain is a fork of the popular Ethereum network, and its DAT Token is an ERC-20 token that works on the Ethereum mainnet.
I think it is a great idea. Send me any other tips for decent crypto startups you may have.
