For years
I didn't want it to unravel
The waves of Guilt and Sorrow and Remorse
I only wished to stay upon the Present
To realize the Now, to stay the course
Oceans of Time, emotional, destructive
For years they hit me with their waves, on conscious shore
The fear of death was already behind me
For I had found what I was searching for
Its the subconscious that for years torments me
All that goes on below the threshold in oneself
The pain and traumas, the illogical, the Shadow
“At last” I heard from deep within, “forgive thyself!”
