Multiple colour areas from sea on the Isle of May

Hello Hello Hivians, fellow Hive photographers, Friendlymoose Photo Contest and #FPC enthusiasts!

It's always a pleasure to participate in challenges that are run on Hive, I think they are what makes this blockchain of ours such a wonderful place. Entering and engaging gives us a community spirit that sets Hive apart from other web3 projects.

This week's theme in the Friendlymoose Photo Contest from @friendlymoose is "multiple color areas" and you can check the contest post here.

For my entry, I've chosen a shot taken by me from a boat a few days ago. The land you see is May Isle in the Firth of Forth in Scotland.

This photograph was captured on Friday 22nd Aug
2025 at 15:48 Scotland time with my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL ...ƒ/1.68 ...1/1095 ... 6.9 mm... ISO31 In fact all the photographs that you see are all taken pretty much at the same time, give or take a couple of minutes!!

I initially misread the theme as multiple colours and had some gorgeous shots from the park, but I reread the post and realised it is really about having multiple color areas.

So we have the Scottish greyish/wet blue sky, the earthy green/brown grass baked bya hot summer, the yellow lichen covered above waterline rocks, the black rocks that covered by the sea and the grey/blue sea itself!

It is actually quite hard to describe the colours as they comprise more than one shade to speak.

i had to pop in a picture of a fog horn. The island has two and they and fluffing loud!
